We purchased this model in 2010 and in june 2011 the picture failed to appear when turned on however the sound was there but loud. this was supposedly fixed under guarantee with a software update and we were told it was a known issue. However this has now happened again and although it`s still under the protection plan is it worth putting right as it`s only 8mths since it happened last time, if its going to be a recurring event would it be better getting a new set.Although not said at time i didn`t like the service from the repairers that sony arranged and thought the 3wks it took to do was a joke,and i am not looking forward to that again either
