Hi,
would just like to confirm something if possible. I have a ps3 which has gone down with this flashing red light of death as its called. I have been told it is costly to repair so I am still deciding its fate. In the meantime my son bought his ps3 from his bedroom and put it downstairs for all to use while mine is down. He was happily playing on it for an hour when I decided to log on to my profile and within seconds of logging in to my account it also developed the flashing red light fault.
I am no techno buff by any means but are you going to tell me that this is pure coinsidence? There appears to be more to this than just a cooling issue. My ps3 was only on for seconds when it developed the fault so it deffinately was not overheating.
Can anyone shed any light as I fully intend to investigate further as I think there is something more going on with this so called fault.
Clive.
