Recently bought the BDP-S480 bluray player and when I am prompted to download the update it starts alright but only loads to part three of nine and then stops with thw message 'Connection status cannot be confirmed.
Communication with server interrupted. Please try again later'. We use BT Home Hub 3 with BT Infinity. Everything else seems to working ok so I don't know what the problem is> Can anyone help please.
i have heard this somewhere before, is your router far away from the player?, if so it likely that its not maintaining the connection if your doing this wirelessly, blu ray players are not very strong on the signal front if the two are too far apart,
the best way if you want to update the player would be to hard wire it with a ethernet cable, or even for use in general as this is less likely to drop the connection.
by the way, did you set up your player at the beginning to connect wirelessly to your router?, you will find this in Set up- network settings- internet settings then wired or wireless set up.
