My VCG-JS1E not booting up

I take my PC to and fro my office regulary and just today I brought it home, I plugged in the power and without pressing anything the computer comes to life as if its about to boot up, some of the leds at the top go on and then four or five seconds later it shuts down.

 

It appears as if the power button is stuck at the top as I can't feel the springyness in it anymore

 

 

any ideas?

    Hi assazam.

     

    Sounds like the on/off switch is permanently pressed.

     

    I think you will need an engineer to have a look at it.  You can find the nearest Sony Service Partner here: -
