If removing the battery and replacing it after 10-15 minutes doesn't rectify the problem, it is likely that there is an internal fault within the camera and I would advise getting in touch with Sony Customer Services to see if a repair would be economically viable - contact details are in this thread:

You may get a better quote from an independent local service centre so I would advise making some enquiries.
