Vaio care has stopped working

My Vaio care has stopped working. It goes to the loading screen, then a windows box says it has stopped working and is searching for a solution, then nothing happens. Any thoughts? I emailed Sony support and I am now about two weeks beyond their target for responding in 48 hours!!

Hi I have the same problem

I have a Sony VAIO laptop, y series, with operating system Windows 7 home prem OA 32 bit

When I press ASSIST button, I have a black screen, with white and dark vertical stripes, and I can not boot windows 7 also.

Can you help me please!!!!

What shall I do???

I have the same problem - 'Sony' and 'support' are a contradiction of terms.
