Seems after updating pmb i cant convert video- so i want to uninstall playmemories Home. But when trying this from Windows it says it cant uninstall since a program still is running (which i dont see). How to uninstall?

Is there any way to retrieve accidentally deleted data from internal memory? This model has 8 GB internal, I know that there is a software "Memory Card File Rescue Software Ver.3.1" that SONY provides. For donwload the software it is necessary to put a reference memory, the only information that I have is internal type "8GB Internal Memory, Memory Stick "how do I? Will it work?

I have the product name and serial number of my camera.

HDR-CX410 handycam accessory shoe not compatible with ECM-CG50 microphone?

I have a new Sony HDR-CX410 handycam and have purchased the external microphone ECM-CG50 specifically for it. It is the high quality microphone I want and the compatibility list for the ECM-CG50 microphone specifies the HDR-CX410 camcorder as being compatible.

However it seems it is not compatible. The microphone holder that came with the ECM-CG50 does not fit in the accessory shoe on the camcorder, and neither does the adapter that came with the microphone.

How can I attach this microphone to sit securely on top of the camcorder? Or are they just not compatible at all...?

i have a HDR CX410 and have recently bought a Sony ECM-XYST1M for it. The instructions are unclear and im a bit new to this. Do i need to use the mic out cable to get the mic to work or do i just insert it on to the top of the Handycam?

HOW DO I FIX A RECORDING OF AN AMATEUR THEATRE RECORDING AFTER ACCIDENTALLY HAVING THE NIGHTSHOT PLUS SWITCHED ON. THE WHOLE SHOW PLAYS BACK IN MOSTLY GRAY AND BLUE. THERE WERE A LOT OF BRIGHT COLOURS - REDS, YELLOWS, GREENS ETC BUT MOST HAVE COME OUT AS ABOVE.

THE CAMERA IS A DCR-SR36E

I CAN'T RECORD THE SHOW AGAIN !

Any assistance on how to fix this [if it can be fixed !] appreciated.

Just downladed the latest upgrade of playmemories home and seems like the convert option from "edit" has disappeared. Where can I find this option now? Or is this no longer possible in the new version?

HDR-SR7 LENS STABILIZATION MALFUNCTION

I bought an HDR-SR7E in July 2007, and one year ago after 30 minutes of using it, the lens started to make a small vibration (it can be felt if you touch the lens ring) and the image moves very fast up and down as a lens stabilization malfunction. Does anyone suffer this also? I tried to reset the camera but the Reset button is a soft reset, and turning on/off the lens stabilization does not change anything. Does anyone knows the way to make a hard reset of the camera?

HDR-AS15 Action Cam charge problem

we just bought an action cam and we have a problem charging the battery.

Connecting the device to the computer it recognizes it (usb appears on the camera screen) bi-ut it doesn't charge ...

no light, no sign on the screen, nothing.

The battery seems ok we charge it with an external charger ...

i can view the recording on the mini dvd on camera (last two portions of the recordings areb greyed out and have question marks on the portions) due to this i can't download on computer and consequently can't burn a DVD. Hi all,

I own a 10-year old DCR-TRV12E. It uses Mini DV, and doesn't have a memory card.

I'm having a hard time trying to import my Mini DV content to my new Macbook Pro Retina. The USB doesn't work. I bought two adapter cable to connect the 4-pin FireWire 400 socket on the Camcorder to the Lightningbolt socket on the Mac - no result: the mac doesn't recognize there's anything connected. I tried 'Quicker', 'iFunia', 'Wondershare', 'RecordPro' and, of course, iMovie - nothing.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi!

I got a new handycam (HDR-CX250e, but I guess that doesn't matter in this question).

I'm having troubles installing Playmemories home. First, I tried to install it from the exe-file in the camera, but it didn't work. I also tried to download the latest version but I got the same error message that the installation of 'pmb.msi' failed.

I have Windows Vista, Service pack 1.

Does anyone know what I could try to make it work?

I have a Sony HandyCam DCR-DS82...with many valuable movies that I have taken over the past 6 years, most of which are not saved anywhere else except on the camcorder itself.

I attempted tonight to download PlayMemories onto my laptop. (I have lost the original disc with Picture Motion Browser software, and in addition my laptop hard drive got wiped out so my original download of that original software is no longer on my laptop. Hence my attempt today to download PlayMemories.)

Unfortunately, it downloaded in French -- this might be because (1) I am currently in French and (2) regretably the operating system on my laptop is currently in French (not my choice, it was done be the people who helped re-install my harddrive).

Please, I want and need to be able to use PlayMemories in English.

But when I try to even just use the "Help" function on the PlayMemories, it takes me to a french website (Guide d'assistance de PlayMemories Home -- a sony site but with a .fr index) and I can't find any answer of how to change it back to English.

Can anyone help me, please, to change the language back to English? Do I need to re-install somehow?

I'm quite desperate to save these movies of my 4 kids somewhere before I lose them...

HDR-CX250 camcorder won't recognise my 750Gb toshiba external harddrive. After 20secs of whirring with the harddrive light on I then get a message about unknown usb item connected press X to disconnect.

Any one able to help resolve this as I bought the drive especially to store my movies/photos whilst travelling usa/canada on forthcoming holiday.

Files in hdr-pj760 has format TS (AVC) type AVCHD Video

For movie processing I use programm Adobe Premiere and after rendering I get movie .mp4 or .mpeg2 or .H264

The question is: how can I put movie back in camera for projector using? What codex, converters I should apply to return to the AVCHD Video?

My Sony Actioncam hdr-as15 met with an accident and the lens is now broken, although the rest of the camera still works.

Is there a replacement lens available, where can I get one? I am a technical person, so shouldn't have any difficulty replacing it myself. Failing this, where can it be repaired at a price that doesn't make it uneconomical?

Hello.

Just bought an HDR-AS15 today which i plan to use when flying, i choose this device over the competitors because of two things, firstly the formfactor and secondly that the Playmemories app was supposedly good (less lagg than other manufacturers solutions).

Now to my problem, i can't download Playmemories from the appstore, if i follow the links from here (http://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/disoft/int/playmemories-mobile/en/index.html) i get to the appstore but once there it says that "Playmemories" is not avaliable in the selected store, i have tried switching countries to the US, UK, China and Japanese stores and some others but always the same darned message from the app store.

Sometimes it even tells me that the app is not avaliable in the current app store but it's avaliable in another and changes app store for me automaticly, but once in the store its back to the same old "Playmemories is not avaliable in this store" message.

Ohh and yeah if i search for "Playmem" in the store it suggest "Playmemories mobile" for me so apparently the appstore has some knowledge about the application but if i choose to klick on the suggestion i get a "No Results for Playmemories mobile" error message.

Anyone else that has had the same issues ?

Perhaps the app has changed its name or been revoked by Apple for some reason ?

I have sent e-mails to the support at apple about this but i don't really expect any answers soon.

I HAVE A HVR-HD1000E SONY CAMCORDER WHICH I BROUGHT OVER 3YRS AGO, I AM JUST A BEGINNER AND I STILL CANNOT WORK OUT HOW TO CAPTURE VIDEO TO MY COMPUTER WHICH IS AN WIN XP PRO, CAPTURE CARD DV/AV EXPERT V-STREAM.

WHEN I CONNECT CAMCORDER TO COMPUTER WITH ILINK FIRE WIRE AND USING SOFTWARE POWER DIRECTOR 3 PROGRAMME TO CAPTURE VIDEO. WHEN I PRESS CAPTURE SOFTWARE ON COMPUTER IT DOES NOTHING AND SOMETIMES IT SHOWS A STILL CLIP BRIEFLY, IT DOES NOT PLAY AND WHEN I PRESS RECORD IT GIVES ME A ERROR MESSAGE APPNAME: POWERDIRECTOR.EXE APPVER 3.0.0.128 MODNAME PDDITLYUY2 AX MOD VER 2101715 OFFSET 0005CD7.

AND ON MY CAMCORDER PLAYBACK VIDEO IMAGE FREEZES I HAVE TO CLOSE THE APPLICATION WHICH SHUTS DOWN THE PROGRAMME AND MY CAMCORDER PLAYBACK STARTS TO WORK AGAIN. i AM SO FED UP WITH THIS, CAN ANYONE HELP ME? .mpg to play in movie maker?

Clueless at these things as I am I thought my Sony Handycam files would be able to play in Windows Movie Maker. Wrong!

Does anyone know how I can make my .mpg Sony files play? I don't want to convert them as they lose picture quality in conversion and it takes ages! I don't know why I bought a camcorder for £200 if I can't use it to edit videos directly! Grrrrrr....

My laptop runs on Vista.

We have just upgraded to a windows 7 computer and it has successfully installed the drivers for our camcorder but when we plug in the camcorder it just says - unknown device. We are therefore unable to transfer the videos to the computer! Any suggestions please?

I have a camcorder HDR-CX360VE, on the first time of trying to use the flash this error code E:91:01 appeared. The flash did not work, it just made the battery charge light flash but the error code has flashed ever since. The camcorder is out of warranty by about 6 months. As the flash is not always required, I had never used the flash within the warranty time. I have now found out from a worthy source that this is a manufacturing fault and to put it right will cost in excess of £120 plus any carriage costs. As this is a manufacturing fault surly this should be paid for by Sony?

I was thinking of treating myself to a hxr-mc50e but see that it is discontinued. What would the community recommend as a worthy replacement? I'm looking for something at the top end of the consumer market but not quite professional (and it must have a proper viewfinder!).
