But could I fit a new motherboard as well as the Processor? What motherboard does a i3 processor need? The graphics card can work with socket 755 and1155 Intel and all amd motherboards So could i do that?

Your fan has jammed at full speeed there is nothing you can do really. maybe try the old method of putting the laptop on and putting it on a bag of ice, but that can fry the electrics. The best thing is to go to the pros and let them do the job. Unless you want to install the fan urself+ what computer do you have and what CPU and GPU do you have?

Hi Raheem,

If the Fan has been running loudly and the computer is overheating it is probably a problem with the fan which will only be able to be fixed by a professinal. or you could have a virus which is running many background programs. Has your battery life got worse recently? If it has it is probably the second one.

My vaio has a 1.6 Ghz AMD E-350 Processor with InsydeH20 BIOS and a AMD Radeon 6310 HD GPU Not sure what motherboard it has. I want to upgrade to a intel i3 2100 SandyBridge Processor Ad add 2 GBs of RAM. Would Anything else need to be changed. Thanks for Any Answers!!
